Day 9: The ultimate plan

“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6
In the daily hustle and bustle of a college career we so often try to plan ahead every detail or our lives.  How many of us already have our plans for finals, for what we are doing over break, for what we have even next semester?  We get so caught up in what we are doing in the pressing months that we plan, plan, and then do some more planning.
God made the ultimate plan, He revealed His plan not weeks, months, or even just a couple of years early; He revealed his plans hundreds of years ahead of time to all of creation.  He was going to send a son, not any son though, His son to save us.  He would send his son to come to earth, teach, preach, and be a guide for us through our daily lives, and he would then give the biggest sacrifice ever, His life.
"To us a Child is born to us a son is given."  So often we may have heard these words and not really processed what these really mean to us in our daily lives.  God knew what was needed for us before we were even born, He knew we would be sinful so he made the ultimate plan for us in His son Jesus Christ to come down to earth and save us.

In Christ
